It’s not for everyone, and to be honest, I rarely crafted with my kids when they were small. I was always worried about the mess. However, being a childcare provider and being the parent of older children, I’m a little more relaxed and definitely not worried about little mess anymore. The only thing that took me a while to figure out was finding exactly the right craft for 3 year olds. It can’t be too difficult but it has to be interesting. I’ve come up with a few now that turned out so well, we were all very happy. I’ve taken to sitting down with them and making the craft too. I find it to be a very soothing activity. I also love to watch the process each child takes and how differently they work from one another. And the results? They’re so proud and that is beautiful.
Today we made Heart-Shaped Suncatchers for Valentine’s Day.
