I just came off a hermit run. I spent two whole days in the house only to get a whiff of fresh air when I let the cats in or out. Why? Well, I’d like to say it was because I was busy job searching and sending out resumes – and that would be partly true – but, really, when I saw the ice and blowing snow, I just had no inclination to step out. Today, however, the sun was shining and although it’s still chilly – but not as chilly – I decided enough was enough. I grabbed my camera, bought some peanuts, and headed over to one of my favourite parks, Hogs Back Park. I spent about an hour and a half there just enjoying being outside. My companions were the squirrels and the birds and I couldn’t have been happier. Last winter I wrote about feeding the Chickadees in Little Tweet and Out Again and Enjoying Nature and, at the risk of being too repetitive, I’ve tried to give this post a bit of a different direction. The truth of the matter is, though, this is one of my favourite things to do especially with camera in hand, so you’ll have to forgive the repetition. Hopefully you’ll enjoy my little collection of photographs and my video. 🙂
And one final shot, not nature related but one taken from the park which I was quite pleased with.
